Taken at a photo shoot involving a trampoline. Rooftop Bangsar Village II.
I didn’t feel too ready. Not so much about the photo… moreso the award nomination.
“KLue is back to uncover the next wave of young, talented individuals bursting with creative potential who are setting their scene alight…”
Adlin nominated me for this award, which Reza won the year before.
So I’m 1 out of the 10 finalists, I get a Nokia phone and Nike shoes.
Can’t complain.
We’ve all submitted our portfolio of achievements etc and next, a panel of judges will choose their fave. The lucky chilli will get RM8,000.
Will I win?
When preparing my portfolio, I found myself treading between achievement and pretention. I hate that.
I’ve done some cool stuff but so what. A lot of things I set out to do haven’t materialized (yet). I haven’t sold any businesses, and for many of my projects, the real cool stuff hasn’t even begun.
It’s not about the other finalists either. It’s about me not being the best of me – yet.
As much as this competition is supposed to be about potential, if I were nominated the year after (instead of this year), I’d probably be more comfortable with bragging.
Grr… Just give me one more year.
But I’m not complaining. The photo turned out pretty cool.
Wish me luck, and check out the profiles of the 10 finalists, including mine.
UPDATE: I won.
