Do the math. It may change your life

September 27, 2009

untitledHow fast did yesterday go away?

How fast did the past 100 days slip by?

Say your age is 25

If you think you’ll live till 75, this means you have 18,000+ days left to live.

Having fun in your youth? You’ve got 5,000+ days till you hit 40.

Not sure when you might die? Who knows how many days you have left…

So. Out of all the days ahead of you… how many are you dedicating to being unhappy or uninspired?

Count your life in days… and maybe you’ll make today count :)

    Thanks for the reminder.

Have been using the same concept to ‘remind’ myself not to waste time. Some people may think it’s a lill’ too much, but then it works… for me.

Go SEACHANGE09! :D Random one there.

  2. yuliang says:

  3. Dheepan says:

That actually inspired me to do something. Thx.

  4. soon wei says:

thank you! this morning, as I sit here trying memorize lines, needed a booster to trudge through the day.

Making it count, I’m reminded. tx :)

  5. Flug says:

With other words: you only have this one life and every second counts.

  6. sheila says:

Carpe Diem, Khailee. And as always, you inspire me. You and this amazing SEAChange YES2009 youth group are standing up and being counted. Wonderful.

  7. John says:

My motto in life is - “live each day like it were your last.” Worrying about what happens tomorrow or in the near future is not something I want to think about all the time. Nor what I did in the past. What happened already happened, and what will happen will come soon. I’m just enjoying my life one day at a time. It certainly is fun! ;) Have a great life guys!

  8. Joe says:

I did the math, quit my 6-fig salary, begin a start-up without funding. Is it worth it? Well, life is short, you gotta try.

  9. joanne says:

  10. junni says:

    you’re right

  11. hafiz says:

Yeah, you’re right =) It reminds me to do something good, while I still have a long time being as a youth, to do goods for me, you, and the others =D Gotta quote this in my life diary ;)

  12. top hosting says:

    i agree with you pal.

  13. top motivation says:

    you are right

  14. Mikko Kotila says:

If you watch TV for 2 hours on a average day, and live until 75 years old, you’ll end up wasting total of 9 years of the time you’re awake in front of the box. You could take that same time and make it count:

    - become really really good in 10 different things
    - become a ridiculously good in 2-3 things
    - become a true grandmaster in one thing

Or then, you could just keep staring at the box and think that it’s entertaining and that “it helps you to relax”

  15. Londen bezienswaardigheden says:

That is really a lot of years, wow. I often chill in front of the box, but this makes me think. Maybe look for something else to relax……

  16. Vilyanur Chandra Poudel says:

    Nice info.
    intact i always do that.
Before writing my diary at night i count my days left to live and think did i did the things i planned yesterday night to use my short time remaining.
